Maiden Central

The video that kicked off the “Modern Era” (read: post-Blaze, and return-to-mass-popularity) of Iron Maiden.

So, this morning on my way to work I decided to pop on Somewhere In Time, which I haven’t listened to in far too long.

As I said on Twitter:

I don’t think I’ve heard this before; definitely worth a listen.

Today, a clip taken from the ‘Live At Hammersmith’ collection, which I originally saw on the 12 Wasted Years video, but is also on the DVD ‘The Early Years’.

This, the first Friday Fave, has to be my favourite Maiden track. Written by my favourite member (Adrian Smith, natch), and from my favourite album (Somewhere In Time). It is (as you’d have noticed by now), ‘Wasted Years’.
